E-Commerce Manager
Lorex Technology, one of the major North American players in consumer-grade security camera systems was experiencing explosive growth on their e-commerce channel, and needed someone with a wide array of digital marketing knowledge and experience to help them continue that growth.
In my role with Lorex, I was responsible for managing the company’s day-to-day e-commerce operations including the implementation, execution, and evolution of SEO strategy. It was all about expanding customer engagement. While at Lorex I planned and executed numerous web site promotions on lorextechnology.com, while also implementing new features aimed to improve sales and customer experience.

Lorex Technology is one of the main players in consumer-grade security systems. With camera technology evolving so quickly, the company was experiencing big growth. My job was to help ensure that this massive e-commerce operation continued to grow.

Educating customers, dominating organic search results and having a wide selection of security systems (and irresistible offers) made it hard for customers to say anything but yes.

Educational web content helped customers and sent the right signals to search engines at the same time.

Email marketing played a critical role in keeping customers engaged and saw strong growth.

Competing for customers meant offering irresistible discounts and free shipping.

Security systems can be quite technical and intimidating, and that is a potential blocker for someone who might otherwise become a customer. This is why we worked hard to demystify the technology and terminology throughout our content — including a series of unboxing videos which the company continues to produce.
The Results
GROWTH ACROSS KEY METRICS
At Lorex we were looking to keep up with the growth of the market, and through the strategies deployed we saw increases in e-commerce revenue, substantial growth in email marketing and a doubling of business around Black Friday.
